What started as a young couple's vision in the coast of Ecuador became one of the most unique tropical flower farms in the world. Every species we grow carries a piece of that original dream — to show the world the enchantments of the jungle.
OUR JOURNEY
1990
A dream begins
Esteban and María, newly married, begin collecting plant material along Ecuador's coast. Esteban — an agronomist — and María — a graphic designer — combine science and art from day one.
🌱 The seed is planted
1991
Magic Flowers is born
The farm is officially founded on Ecuador's tropical coast. First exports of heliconias and gingers begin reaching international markets.
🏡 Family business founded
2000s
Growing the jungle collection
Over a decade of field work expands the catalogue to over 60 tropical species — many rescued from endangered rainforest areas threatened by deforestation.

Today
34 years and still growing
Magic Flowers ships worldwide across 60+ countries. Every stem is still planted by hand and harvested by family.
