Our Mission

Our mission is to protect the Amazonian Flora and deliver its enchantment to every part of the world. We aim to offer the richest combination of colors and shapes of tropical flowers, grown and taken care of in a healthy and controlled farm eco-system.

Our Story

Every year an area of rainforest the size of New Jersey is cut down and destroyed. The animals and plants living in these forests either die or must find a new forest to call their home. Humans are the main cause of rainforest destruction. We are cutting down rainforests for many reasons, including wood, agriculture, cattle, paper, road construction and extraction of energy and minerals. Even though deforestation occurs all around the world, tropical rainforests are particularly targeted. If current deforestation levels proceed, the world's rainforests may completely vanish in as little as 100 years, according to National Geographic.

The tropics are the geographic regions of the Earth centered on the equator and limited in latitude by the Tropic of Cancer in the north and the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere. Tropical Flowers are those species of flowers that thrive naturally in these tropical climatic conditions, thus tropical flowers are currently endangered species.

Since 1990, Magic Flowers founders started travelling and rescuing plant material from injured areas in the amazon rain forest and adapt them for reproduction in an eco-friendly farm located in the coast of Ecuador. Since then, Magic has been offering the richest combination of colors and shapes of tropical flowers to the world. Among the most significant tropical species they reproduce different varieties of heliconeas, gingers and musas.

It is crucial to invite people to include tropicals in their floral assortment to promote their reproduction and therefore protect the rain forest flora for the future generations and further investigations. Magic is constantly teaching people not to be afraid of tropical flowers because there are very easy to take care off and are among the flowers with longest vase life.

The rule of thumb is “place tropical flowers on a climate where you feel comfortable”, thus we believe is not in cooling room. Constantly spray the entire flower with water to preserve it moist and keep the vase water level minimum at its half.
Tropical flowers have bracts which can be orange, purple, red, yellow, pink, green, or their combinations.
Tropical flowers have large and colorful bracts that almost hide the real flowers altogether to keep birds away, hence only specialized birds can get to them. Same as for all flowers, meanings also differ among the several varieties of tropical flowers, but they all share an uncommon, astonishing spirit that evokes a sense of adventure and singular wisdom. Keep up the spirit and explore the enchantment of the tropical rain forest.
